EZ’s automation process for Loss Draft Inspections has enabled our company to deliver on time and accurate results to our clients. Because EZ’s system is creating and attaching order documents to this order type, we can import loss drafts into our system and dispatch them quickly to the field. Automation also means less human error. When a human being is creating and tracking Loss Draft Inspections, there is always a risk that one could be missed, incorrect information could be placed on the order, or correct order documents may not be attached. All of these examples can slow down the turnaround time for this inspection type. The same sentiment can also be applied to providing updates to the client in regard to scheduling. The appointment tracker on each order helps our office monitor daily calls and appointments. When an inspector saves an update/appointment on the appointment tracker, it does not matter the time of day, the update will deliver to the client expediently. If a human being is entering the updates, this action may only take place once or twice a day. Many call attempts to homeowners are made in the evenings after the end of normal business hours. Automation has made it possible for those updates to go directly to the client’s system, so they are there at the start of business the next morning versus waiting for a person to enter those updates. One of the best features of EZ’s automated process for Loss Draft Inspections is the inspector’s ability to capture the homeowner’s signature in the field. The client signature sheet is then generated as a legible PDF or JPEG file. Prior to this enhancement, inspectors would forget to print the signature sheet for the appointment which would require them to go back to get the homeowner’s signature thus delaying the processing of results to the bank. Inspectors would also provide illegible copies of the signature sheet, so those orders would also become delayed until we could get the inspector to provide a more clear copy. We saw the full benefits of the automated loss draft process in the months following Hurricane Harvey. This natural disaster caused an unprecedented surge in volume for loss drafts.
